In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement officials in Shreveport, Louisiana, have captured a wanted fugitive connected to a 2020 attempted murder case. The fugitive, identified as ShaMichael Sabbath, a 25-year-old male, was apprehended on Friday, June 6.
Officers from the local Shreveport Police collaborated with the US Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force to detain the fugitive. ShaMichael Sabbath was wanted in relation to an incident on October 14, 2020. During this disturbing event, a 45-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds in his abdomen and leg.
According to the local police department, the victim was attempting to inhibit a domestic situation between a man and a woman when the man shot him. At the time of Sabbath’s arrest, a firearm was found on his person. Being a convicted felon, Sabbath is proscribed from owning firearms, which added to his charges after his arrest.
