How to Get Your Name on the Job Database to Work at Big Events Coming to Shreveport

24-Hour Temp Workforce Registration Event in Shreveport

Shreveport will be the host city for a unique temporary workforce registration event on Tuesday, July 9th. This 24-hour event, set to take place at the Shreveport Convention Center, seeks to add to an existing job database to cater to the future needs of various big-ticket events such as the much-anticipated Humor and Harmony Weekend festival.

This job database will be made publicly available for entities looking to fill their temporary job requirements.

Networking and Economic Vitality at Forefront

According to Orville Hall, the Growth Advisor for G-Unit Studios, the event is not just about mass hiring but serves as a platform for attendees to network and showcase their talents. “This event provides a vital platform for participants to network, showcase their capabilities, and contribute to the economic vitality of our community,” said Hall. Job seekers would find a slew of temporary work opportunities like barbacks, parking lot attendants, bartenders, skilled laborers, movers, security staff, admissions personnel, ushers, concession workers, cashiers, janitorial staff, waitresses, and more.

Joint Endeavor to Fill Job Gaps

This workforce development initiative is the result of a joint endeavor by various organizations. The list includes the City of Shreveport Community Development Department, G-Unit, Caddo American Job Center, KMJJ, and the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce.

Application Criteria

Individuals interested in pursuing these jobs are required to complete an on-site application at the event and provide a Louisiana driver’s license or Louisiana identification card as proof of identity.
