The bustling cities of Shreveport and Bossier City are thrilled to announce the selection of the 2024 class of 40 Under Forty, a program dedicated to recognizing the incredible young talent in the community! Organized by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, this exciting initiative shines a spotlight on 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 who have achieved remarkable accomplishments in their careers, educational pursuits, community service, and volunteer efforts.
Each year, the Young Professionals Initiative (YPI) of Northwest Louisiana invites nominations from across the community to recognize inspiring individuals. This year, nominees were evaluated based on their business experiences, community engagement, and accolades within their respective organizations. With approximately 150-200 applications rolling in for only 40 coveted spots, the competition is undeniably stiff!
Among the brightest stars of this year is Jonathan Wheelis, who has been crowned the Young Professional of the Year for 2024. This prestigious title acknowledges not just professional success but also a commitment to lifting the community and mentoring others.
As if that weren’t enough, nominations are also being sought for the Minority Business Opportunity Awards, as well as additional spots within the 40 Under Forty class. This represents a fantastic opportunity for emerging leaders to step into the limelight and gain the recognition they deserve.
