Shreveport Loses a Culinary Legend

Shreveport, LA – The culinary world mourns the loss of an iconic figure, Harvey “Papa” Clay, owner and pitmaster of the much-loved Shreveport restaurant, Real BBQ and More. Ensuring the legacy of classic Southern BBQ, Clay has etched his name into the hearts of many food enthusiasts with his succulent BBQ offerings and affable personality.

Clay’s sudden demise was announced on April 18, leaving his family, friends, and thousands of BBQ aficionados bereft. His skilful mastery of the grill and unique BBQ recipes had carved a distinctive niche for his restaurant over the years.

In an emotional note, Clay’s daughter mentioned, “My Dad touched many lives across country and even around the world. He will truly be missed. Funeral Arrangements

Mourning the loss of their beloved culinary maestro, Shreveport will bid their final adieu to Harvey Clay on April 20. His funeral will kick-off with a viewing at 10 a.m, followed by the service at 11 a.m at the New Bethel Baptist Church, 3300 Greenwood Road.
