A Tribute to Pam Atchison

Pam Atchison, a long-time executive at the Shreveport Arts Council, was showered with applause and admiration for her unwavering dedication to the arts of Northwest Louisiana. While some reports may have erroneously labeled her as “retired,” Atchison simply transitioned to a new role within the organization as the director of the upcoming Christmas in the Sky fundraiser. The Bossier Arts Council seized the opportunity to honor Atchison’s remarkable contributions and express gratitude for her tireless support over the years.

The 2024 Featured Artist, Rachel McDonald, captivated attendees with her innovative work that blends graphic design and fine art. Inspired by her upbringing in North Louisiana and her global travels, McDonald brings a unique perspective to her creations. With a background in graphic design and a master’s degree from the University of Florida, McDonald uses her skills to make a positive impact in the community, embracing design as a tool for social change.

Artini 2024: Rhinestone Cowboy Extravaganza
