Delicious Brews Await in Bossier City
Ah, Bossier City! The mornings can be a whirlwind of chaos, but you know what? Coffee is always a trusty companion. Instead of heading to those big chain coffee shops, how about exploring some wonderful locally-owned gems right here in Bossier? From sweet treats to expertly brewed drinks, there are plenty of spots to satisfy your cravings.
SoBo Cold Brew: Sweet Treats and Quality Brews
First up, we have SoBo Cold Brew. This delightful coffee shop started its journey at the Bossier City Farmers Market back in July 2022. Just a year later, in August 2023, they opened their brick-and-mortar location inside the Pierre Bossier Mall. Owners Leslie and Taylor Brown initially turned their coffee passion into a side hobby, but it took off remarkably! “We decided to go for it and open a storefront,” Leslie said. Exciting news for South Bossier residents: they plan to relocate there by the end of this year!
If you have a sweet tooth, SoBo is a must-visit. They offer everything from classic lattes to unique Italian cream sodas, which you can even top with boba beads! And let’s not forget the refreshing iced teas, including a lovely peach tea made with real peaches, and freshly baked cookies. Not sure what to choose? Leslie recommends trying her go-to drink: a decadent caramel iced latte topped with chocolate cold foam. Don’t forget to follow them on Facebook for updates on all their upcoming adventures!
PJ’s Coffee: A Local Favorite
Next up is PJ’s Coffee, another fantastic local option! Brandy Craft has been serving Bossier folks from their Airline Drive location since 2019, and just recently, Josh Cox opened up Haughton’s first standalone PJ’s. With cozy seating arrangements, including comfy booths and tables, this is the perfect place to catch up with friends, enjoy some free WiFi, or hit the books.
Currently, they’re featuring seasonal drinks like the scrumptious Bananas Foster cold brew cream and the indulgent s’mores velvet ice. Plus, you can’t miss out on their “Fall Flight” option—taste all the fall flavors in one go! If you get a little peckish, grab a classic bagel or croissant, or stay for a good ole cinnamon roll or New Orleans-style beignets. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for live music events and special book signings!
B & T Coffee: A Family Affair
Then there’s B & T Coffee, where Brian Burress noticed a gap in the coffee scene in Bossier City. Conveniently located off Stockwell Road, this family-run shop serves up a delightful mix of coffee, lotus teas, pour-over options, and pastries. It’s a haven for coffee lovers looking for something a bit different.
The fun doesn’t stop there! With creative names like “Grandma’s House” for a butterscotch and caramel drink and “Dancing Queen” for a delightful blackberry and white mocha topped with raspberry cold foam, you’re in for a treat. Brian’s personal favorite? It’s the “AS IF,” a white mocha with a Belgian cookie and red velvet cold foam. It’s not just about the drinks—they have seating arrangements perfect for socializing or studying, all with the inviting ambiance of their delightful orange sofa.
Coffee on the Red: Fresh and Seasonal
Last but certainly not least, Coffee on the Red, owned by the Lewis brothers, is a North Bossier favorite. They pride themselves on using only the freshest coffee beans, brewed within weeks of roasting for that top-notch flavor. This season, they have an incredible fall menu showcasing drinks like pumpkin spice cold brew and pumpkin chai tea, along with pumpkin scones and cream cheese cookies to enjoy. Whether you’re on the go or prefer settling in, there’s ample seating inside! They even have meeting rooms if you’re looking to collaborate or catch up with a group.
