Shreveport Weather Update: A Cooler Start to November
Happy Friday, Shreveport! If you’ve stepped outside today, you may have noticed a delightful shift in the weather. Today has been much cooler compared to yesterday, thanks to a cold front that made its way through the region. As we kick off November, we’re looking forward to some rainfall and a possible touch of severe weather. But don’t worry; this weekend appears to be relatively calm in that department!
What to Expect This Weekend
While there won’t be any severe weather lurking around for us this weekend, you might still need that umbrella. We can expect a few scattered showers and storms popping up in some spots over the weekend. Temperatures, which are currently sitting a bit above average, are predicted to rise into the lower 80s as we move through Saturday and into next week. That’s not too shabby, right?
As we look ahead to Saturday, keep in mind that rain chances will slightly increase in the afternoon, especially in our east Texas zones. This is all due to a warm front that should lift our temperatures up a notch. Other than that, we should enjoy mostly dry conditions across the area through tomorrow and Sunday. So, feel free to plan your weekend activities with only a slight chance of rain!
A Rainy Start to the New Week
Moving on to next week, we see another big chance for rain slipping into the forecast from Monday night into Election Day. So, if you’re planning to head out to vote, you might want to have a raincoat or umbrella handy. As we kick off the new week, we can expect highs to reach the low to mid 80s across the region, accompanied by those slight chances of rain. Keep your eye on the sky, folks!
Following that, we can anticipate a cold front to sweep in from the northwest, which could potentially bring us some severe weather. Isn’t it exciting when the weather keeps us on our toes? After this front passes, we’ll notice a dip in temperatures, with highs settling in the 70s. This change is sure to feel a bit more comfortable, especially after the warmer days we’ve had recently.
