Mudbug Madness Festival

Mudbug Madness Festival features Cajun and Creole food. This is the South’s premier crawfish festival, with nonstop live Cajun and zydeco music, activities for children, and delicious food. This festival is a Top 20 Southeast Tourism Society event and a Top 100 American Bus Association event.

Let The Good Times Roll Festival

Let The Good Times Roll Festival, a weekend-long celebration of African American culture, offers performances by top names in soul, gospel, hip-hop, and R&B. Because of its excellent lineup of music, cuisine, and art booths, the festival was designated a Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 Event.

KTBS-3 Independence Day Festival

The annual KTBS-3 Independence Day Festival will take place on July 4 at Festival Plaza. This festival honors the United States troops and includes food, music, fireworks, and enjoyment for the entire neighborhood.

Red River Revel Arts Festival

Each fall, the Red River Revel brings together art, music, and food on Festival Plaza. Revel provides a variety of enjoyable family-friendly events, such as scrumptious delicacies, cool drinks, over 80 visual artists in 15 mediums, over 60 performances in diverse genres, and activities for all ages.

State Fair Of Louisiana

The Louisiana State Fair will be held at the State Fairgrounds in Shreveport from October 27 to November 13, 2022. The gates will open at 10 a.m. Admission starts at $12 and goes higher from there. This fair offers unique fair dishes, live music, Louisiana’s greatest display of carnival rides, free shows and entertainment, and much more.

Wallace Lake

Wallace Lake is a picturesque man-made lake located southeast of Shreveport, Louisiana. This lake, which is managed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, was established in 1946 as a flood control lake. Its function was to prevent water from overflowing into the farmlands around it.

Wallace Lake’s current size ranges between 3,000 and 9,000 acres, depending on the amount of rainfall received during the year. It’s usually a shallow Cyprus tree-lined lake that’s popular for a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Namely, fishing, kayaking, duck hunting, and canoeing.
