The Louisiana State Fair will be held at the State Fairgrounds in Shreveport from October 27 to November 13, 2022. The gates will open at 10 a.m. Admission starts at $12 and goes higher from there. This fair offers unique fair dishes, live music, Louisiana’s greatest display of carnival rides, free shows and entertainment, and much more.

Wallace Lake is a picturesque man-made lake located southeast of Shreveport, Louisiana. This lake, which is managed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, was established in 1946 as a flood control lake. Its function was to prevent water from overflowing into the farmlands around it.
Wallace Lake’s current size ranges between 3,000 and 9,000 acres, depending on the amount of rainfall received during the year. It’s usually a shallow Cyprus tree-lined lake that’s popular for a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Namely, fishing, kayaking, duck hunting, and canoeing.
