Sponsor Our ArticlesShreveport, LA – In a shocking incident, a man was arrested for allegedly bringing a firearm into a local bar and acting aggressively. Police were called to The Cub, located in the 3000 block of Girard Street, just before noon on April 5th. Authorities identified the suspect as Logan Aymami, a 22-year-old local resident.
According to eyewitness reports, Aymami entered the bar, demanded to speak to the owner, and announced that he was carrying a gun. He was promptly arrested and charged with several offenses including negligent carrying of a concealed handgun, illegal carrying of weapons, illegal possession of a weapon in a bar or nightclub, criminal trespassing, and obstruction of passage.
Aymami’s aggressive behavior and alleged gun threats set off alarm in the bar, with several patrons leaving and calling the police. Aymami was taken into custody without any shots being fired or any physical injuries incurred, according to the police.
Under Louisiana law, none of Aymami’s offenses qualify as “violent”. Nevertheless, the combined charges could lead to serious legal consequences including hefty fines and potential jail time. With the investigation ongoing, it is unclear if Aymami has obtained legal representation or if a court date has been set.
This incident underscores the importance of public safety, particularly in places like bars and nightclubs where alcohol consumption can potentially escalate conflicts. Any person who observes suspicious or threatening behavior is urged to report the situation to local law enforcement. Armed threats, even if not immediately violent, are taken extremely seriously by law enforcement and can lead to arrest and prosecution.
