Exciting Art Exhibition to Showcase Local Talent in Shreveport on November 12

Exciting Art Exhibition Coming to Shreveport!

Hey there, Shreveport! Are you ready for a splash of creativity? Mark your calendars for November 12, because something special is happening at the Southern University Museum of Art! From 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., the museum will be buzzing with art enthusiasts ready to dive into a world of stunning visual experiences.

Meet the Talented Artists

This event will showcase two incredible artists with very different styles. First up is James Nelson, who is bringing his impressive Colliboratif series to life. For those who are not familiar with this collection, it’s a beautiful representation of collaboration and creative synergy that you won’t want to miss. This series is not just a display of art; it’s a journey through creativity that invites viewers to reflect and engage.

And then we have the talented Wendell Wilson, who will take you on a botanical adventure through Louisiana. His work captures the essence of our local flora and fauna, showcasing the rich beauty of the landscapes we often walk by without a second glance. You might walk away from his pieces feeling inspired to explore the outdoors with fresh eyes!

Get Ready to Engage!

What’s really exciting about this opening reception is that it’s not just about looking at art. You’ll have the unique chance to meet the artists in person! Have burning questions about their creative processes or the messages behind their works? Well, now is your chance to get those answers straight from the source. This is the kind of opportunity that truly enhances the experience of attending an art exhibit.

Not to mention, there will be light refreshments available to enjoy as you wander through the exhibition. Nothing like a little snack to make art viewing even more delightful, right?

To make things flow smoothly, the museum kindly requests that attendees RSVP on the Facebook event page. This helps them get an idea of how many art lovers to expect.
