Blake of Bossier City celebrates National Fashion Day with show for residents

Residents at the Blake of Bossier City were treated to a special fashion show in celebration of National Fashion Day. The event, organized by Presley Ross and Katy Larsen, brought together local designers and models to create an entertaining and uplifting experience for the senior living facility.

An Event of Joy and Fun

The fashion show aimed to bring joy and fun to the residents of the Blake of Bossier City, and it successfully achieved that goal. As models walked down the makeshift runway, showcasing unique and stylish designs, the audience couldn’t help but smile and clap in appreciation.

Local Designers Shine

Among the talented designers featured in the show was LaTasha Henderson of LaTasha V Henderson Designs, known for her appearance on Project Runway season 15. Henderson expressed her love for giving back and spreading happiness through her creations.

Sequoia Cameron, another designer at the event, shared her excitement at working with Henderson and described the experience as a significant moment for her brand, Legends of Legacy.

A Heartwarming Mother-Daughter Moment

Amy Lynn Treme, a teacher at Caddo Career and Technology Center and a participant in the Prize Foundation’s Fashion Prize, walked the runway with her daughter, Daisy. The duo sported matching outfits, much to the delight of the residents.

Gratitude and Excitement

Reflecting on the event, Henderson, Cameron, and Treme all expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the fashion show. The positive response from the audience and the chance to bring a smile to the residents’ faces filled them with joy and excitement.

A Memorable Occasion

The National Fashion Day celebration at the Blake of Bossier City was truly a memorable occasion. It not only showcased local talent and creativity but also brought a sense of community and happiness to all who attended. The event served as a reminder of the power of fashion to uplift spirits and create moments of joy.
