Get ready, Bossier City! The long-anticipated Live! Casino & Hotel has finally opened its doors, making a grand entrance into the Shreveport-Bossier market as the area’s first land-based casino. With excitement hanging in the air, the official ribbon-cutting took place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at around 7 p.m., followed by an explosion of fireworks that lit up the night sky at 7:45 p.m. The festivities didn’t stop there, as the open-to-the-public event named GEAUX LIVE! kicked off at 8 p.m., welcoming guests to experience all that this lavish facility has to offer.
With a jaw-dropping construction cost of $270 million, the Live! Casino & Hotel boasts an impressive 47,000 square feet of gaming space, ready to provide thrill-seekers with countless hours of entertainment. Guests can choose from over 1,000 slot machines and electronic gaming tables, as well as more than 40 live table games for those who prefer a traditional experience. Plus, there’s a dedicated high limits room for those looking to up the ante.
The hotel portion of the facility is just as breathtaking, offering 549 luxurious rooms that cater to every type of traveler. Choose from 255 king rooms, 267 queen rooms, 23 spacious suites, and even 5 stunning penthouses for that extra touch of indulgence.
