Sponsor Our ArticlesBossier City is buzzing with excitement as the culinary scene in the area continues to expand. One of the most thrilling new additions to the East Bank District dining scene is the Hangar Taphouse & Kitchen. Whether you’re a resident or just passing through, this lively spot promises an unforgettable dining experience filled with delicious food, an inviting atmosphere, and live music.
The Hangar is the brainchild of three passionate partners: Brandon Drake Nelson, Jason Bogard, and BJ Daniels. Together, they are redefining what it means to dine out in Bossier City. Nelson, who has been involved in the restaurant industry since he was just fifteen, jumped at the chance to create a unique experience for diners. He shares, “I am into the experience of the patron. I say, guest or patron because our guests are not just a number when they dine with us.”
This sentiment is at the heart of everything they do at The Hangar. “We plan to be eclectic and not be a one-trick pony…we are catering to you,” Nelson notes, outlining their diverse offerings designed to entertain guests of all ages. From R&B nights and Karaoke to trivia and live music, there’s truly something for everyone.
As soon as you step inside The Hangar, you’re enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bright lighting, wooden accents, and even a stage create an environment that feels inviting and fun. The layout is well thought out, providing ample space between tables to ensure a sense of privacy while still feeling part of the lively atmosphere. This makes The Hangar perfect for everything from family dinners to larger celebrations.
Cheers—where everybody knows your name.
In an area known for its love of food, especially traditional Louisiana cuisine, Nelson recognizes the importance of staying true to local flavors. “Right now our menu is dedicated to the region. I don’t want to get outside of that and do too much,” he explains. The Hangar’s offerings include some of the state’s favorites such as crispy crawfish tails, southern fried catfish, voodoo pasta, and, of course, beignets. This regional focus is a testament to their appreciation for local culinary traditions.
But that’s not all! To complement your meal, The Hangar features a carefully curated selection of drinks, ensuring that every guest can find the perfect pairing for their dining adventure. Whether you’re out for a casual dinner with friends or celebrating a special occasion, you can count on The Hangar Taphouse & Kitchen to deliver a memorable experience every time.
With its friendly vibe, delectable menu, and genuine appreciation for its guests, The Hangar has quickly become a local favorite. Located at 310 Mansfield St., Bossier City, LA, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The next time you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and see for yourself what all the excitement is about!
