Sponsor Our ArticlesIn the heart of Bossier City, Louisiana, excitement filled the air on a chilly Thursday afternoon. Big things truly do come in little packages, as demonstrated during the latest run of the KTBS 3 Minute Smile, a festive event that aims to spread cheer during the holly jolly season. This marvelous initiative is an integral part of the KTBS 3 Spirit of Christmas campaign, where wonderful memories are made and dreams come true.
On this particular day, the spotlight shone brightly on 8-year-old Martin Garcia from nearby Shreveport. With a heart full of dreams and a big smile plastered on his face, Martin made a quick dash for toys down the bustling aisles of a Walmart located on Airline Drive in Bossier City. Thanks to the generosity of Pioneer Comfort Systems, Martin had three exhilarating minutes to grab as much merchandise as he could.
Picture this: Martin lit up the toy section like a Christmas tree as he raced through the aisles, ensuring that every second counted in his golden opportunity. An astonishing total of $964.36 worth of toys and goodies was collected in the blink of an eye! Just imagine the joy on this little boy’s face as he filled his cart to the brim with toys, games, and sparkling treasures. It was a sight to behold!
The excitement didn’t stop there! The energetic KTBS 3 Sports Director Alex Anderson took the reins to offer his expert play-by-play commentary during Martin’s exhilarating run. His charming and enthusiastic commentary surely added to the thrill of the experience. Meanwhile, Anchor Brenda Teele lent her supportive touch as she cheered Martin on. Together, they made this festive occasion even more memorable, turning an ordinary shopping spree into a celebration of joy.
For all the parents out there, don’t fret if you missed out on this delightful opportunity! There are still eight more chances left for your kids to participate in this magical event! All you need to do is ensure that your little ones are signed up for the upcoming draws. The anticipation continues to build, as the next two winners will be announced over the weekend. Get your entries ready!
Excitingly, next week’s runs are generously sponsored by The Antler Shed Deer Blinds and First Plumbing of Cass County. This festive season is filled with fun opportunities to bring smiles to young faces, so let’s spread the word and make sure every child has a chance to bask in the joy of this wonderful experience!
