However, the success story of Tubbs Hardware began under less than favorable circumstances. “My dad died when I was a teenager and I went to work for Mr. Holmes. He had a hardware store. He didn’t have any boys, so he owner-financed and sold me this store when I was 19,” Tubbs shares reflectively.
Now, four decades later, Tubbs Hardware has cemented itself as a must-visit icon in Bossier City. “So we kind of branded ourselves with Bossier City… We are known to be a fun, unique place to shop,” Tubbs points out with justifiable pride.

The Tubbs legacy is also continuing to grow with a second location in Benton which is managed by Tubbs’ son, further extending the reach of this beloved local institution.
