Whitehorn’s team has announced that the inauguration ceremony is set to take place at the Shreveport Convention Center, scheduled for 5 p.m on Monday, 1st July. This hallmark event is not only a testament to the democratic process, but also a major change in the county’s law enforcement leadership.
The ceremony, which is open to the general public, will be followed up with a reception, giving the attendees the opportunity to meet and interact with the newly elected sheriff. Henry Whitehorn, Sr. is determined to bring about a significant change in the parish, promising to serve the community with integrity, professionalism, and commitment to justice.
With the swearing-in of Whitehorn, Caddo Parish is said to mark the beginning of a new era. The last time the Parish had a new sheriff was over twenty years back, making this a monumental moment in Caddo Parish’s history. Whitehorn’s victory symbolizes not only a shift in leadership, but also in the citizens’ confidence in their law enforcement.
As his soon-to-be-realized role of Sheriff looms near, the Caddo Parish community has high expectations of Whitehorn, banking on his extensive experience, leadership abilities, and dedication to his position to enhance the quality of law enforcement in the area.
Whitehorn has a distinguished career in law enforcement, having served in several influential roles in various departments and agencies. His leadership, commitment to the rule of law, and devotion to serving public have helped him earn respect from his colleagues and the larger community.
The Caddo Parish community at large awaits July 1 as it hopes to see the fulfillment of Whitehorn’s promise to uphold justice, fairness, and integrity as he embarks on the journey of leading the law enforcement of the Parish.
While the community understands that transforming the entire system is not an overnight affair, the hope remains that under Whitehorn’s command, Caddo Parish will see positive changes in its law enforcement. This transition comes in a critical period when there is a nationwide call for more transparency and community engagement within police departments. As Whitehorn takes the oath and begins his tenure, there is an air of expectancy for a refreshed policing policy.
