Calumet to Feed Area First Responders for Second Year

Community Appreciation Event in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. – Calumet, Inc. is set to host a special luncheon for local first responders on Thursday, recognizing their hard work and dedication to the community. This event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. across five different locations in Bossier, Caddo, and Webster parishes.

Feeding Locations

The meals will be served at the following Calumet facilities:

  • Shreveport Refinery – 3333 Midway Avenue
  • Shreveport Packaging – 10411 Highway 1
  • Shreveport Distribution – 7540 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop
  • Princeton Plant – 10234 Highway 157
  • Cotton Valley Plant – 1756 Old Highway 7

A Tradition of Support

This marks the second consecutive year that Calumet has organized this luncheon as a gesture of appreciation for the first responders’ invaluable service. Last year, over four hundred first responders benefited from this initiative.

Mike Achacoso, Senior Vice President of Operations at Calumet, expressed the company’s commitment, stating, “This is another way we proudly support the men and women serving and protecting our communities. Calumet is committed to supporting our communities through volunteer service, sponsorship, and acting as good corporate citizens.” Achacoso emphasized that the event provides a wonderful opportunity to thank first responders in person.
