Incident leads to Single-Vehicle Crash
A high-speed chase ending in a severe, single-vehicle crash is currently being investigated by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. According to officials, the incident happened on Sunday while deputies were assisting the Vivian Police Department in the pursuit of a reported carjacking suspect.
The Pursuit
At approximately 3:20 p.m., in Vivian, Louisiana, the deputies were called to aid in the arrest of the driver of a stolen white 2013 Buick Lacrosse. The vehicle was reportedly spotted by a Vivian officer, travelling north on Highway 1, reaching up to 100 miles per hour at times.

The high-speed pursuit congested when the suspect vehicle turned right onto Highway 168, only to crash into a curve.
