Mark your calendars for December 14, starting at 7 a.m. and going all the way to 2 a.m., as the Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack transforms into a world of wonder!

Now in its 19th year, Christmas in the Sky is not just a fun-filled party; it’s a gala with a purpose. The event raises critical funds for the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC). These funds go toward amazing programs such as the ArtBreak Festival, Arts in Education, and various STEAM learning initiatives. Don’t forget about the stunning lights of the Bakowski Bridge, the colorful celebrations of Glo Fest, and the artistic exhibitions showcased at Artpace!

Every year, the theme changes, and this time it’s all about the fabulousness that you can only find in Vegas! Sandi Kallenberg, the chair of the SRAC council, can’t help but be excited. She says, “Over the past 19 events, Christmas in the Sky has taken us everywhere! We’ve journeyed to destinations that are ‘Beyond Imagination’ and experienced everything from the hot heat of summer to the chilly breezes of winter. So, where’s the one place that captures all of that? It’s Vegas Baby!”

The culinary talents of the region will be on full display, thanks to the incredible Chef Ryan Gillespie, who will lead a team of chefs as they whip up delicious dishes for 12 exciting hot and cold buffets.
