Sponsor Our ArticlesBossier City, are you ready for some holiday magic? This year, the 32nd Annual Christmas Show is shaking things up by moving to a brand-new venue! Hosted by the Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) in partnership with the City of Bossier City, the event will debut at the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre, located conveniently within Building C on the BPCC campus at 6220 E. Texas Street. After spending over three decades at the Bossier Civic Center, this beloved holiday tradition is taking a leap into a fresh and exciting atmosphere that promises to delight both the community and performers.
This year’s enchanting production is titled Santa’s Wintertime Adventure, and it will charm audiences over the course of three magical days. Doors to the theatre will open a cozy 30 minutes before each performance, giving you plenty of time to grab your loved ones and settle into the festive spirit.
Now, let’s talk logistics: while admission is absolutely free, tickets are required to ensure you get a seat. You can reserve them online at www.bpcc.edu/theatre. Plus, here’s a heartwarming touch – guests are encouraged to bring along canned food donations to support The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. It’s a wonderful way to spread cheer to those in need during the holiday season!
For over thirty years, the Christmas Show has been BPCC’s heartfelt way of giving back to Bossier City and spreading joy among families and children. This year’s stage will be dressed up as a magical winter wonderland, complete with all our favorite characters, including Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Frosty, not to mention a lively bunch of jolly elves ready to brighten your day!
The show is set to dazzle with a delightful mix of cherished holiday classics and modern favorites. Performed by the wonderfully talented BPCC Student Life Groups, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Look out for the star of the show, the ever-popular “Elfis” Presley, who’s ready to rock your holiday spirit with his incredible performance. And you can’t forget the mischievous antics of the dynamic duo, Heat Miser and Snow Miser. Get ready to laugh and cheer!
But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there! After the curtain comes down, children (and the young at heart!) will have the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in person! This is the perfect moment to share all those magical holiday wishes!
The performances will feature the creative flair of the Cavalier Players, Cavalier Players Chorus, BPCC Concert Choir, Cavalier Cheerleaders, and the Ladies in Gold Danceline. Each group brings its unique artistry to the stage, promising an experience that’s memorable and full of holiday spirit. And don’t miss the special reading of the classic ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ by the wonderful Dr. Ray Scott Crawford, sure to leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
This is your chance to enjoy the festive season with friends and family while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Mark your calendars, reserve your tickets, and join the celebration of the season with BPCC and the entire Bossier City community. You won’t want to miss this holiday experience that’s sure to be filled with laughter, joy, and the spirit of giving!
