Shreveport, La. is in for a delightful change in weather this week as a cold front is set to arrive midweek, bringing with it a wave of cooler and more comfortable air across the ArkLaTex region. If you’ve been feeling the summer heat lately, you’re not alone – but get ready to welcome a pleasant reprieve!
Tonight, as we settle in for the evening, expect to see some passing clouds rolling through, but overall, it’s going to be a quiet night. If you’re heading out or getting cozy, temperatures will slide into the mid 60s along and north of I-30, while those of you south of I-20 can look forward to lows dipping down into the low 70s. So, maybe grab a light jacket if you plan to enjoy the outdoors!
Now, if you’re wondering what’s in store for Tuesday, you can look forward to partly cloudy skies with just a hint of a chance for a shower or storm — mainly affecting our far southeast parishes. It should feel slightly cooler as we’ll experience highs in the mid to upper 80s. Not too shabby, right? Perfect weather to take a stroll in the park or enjoy a refreshing drink outside!
Come Wednesday, we’ll see a more dramatic shift in our weather as that cold front sweeps in from the north. This means a drop in temperatures and humidity that many will surely appreciate. While some spotty showers could occur as the front moves through, the majority of us are likely to stay dry. Expect daytime highs to trend down into the low 80s – a wonderful treat after those hotter days!
Looking ahead to Thursday, it’s shaping up to be an absolutely gorgeous day! With plenty of sunshine and low humidity in the forecast, you’ll want to soak in the rays as highs will again hover around the low 80s. This kind of weather is ideal for a family picnic, some gardening, or simply enjoying the beauty of our local parks.
As we slide into Friday and then the weekend, an upper level low positioned just north of the ArkLaTex will bring along periods of increased cloud cover along with a few chances for spotty showers in the northern parts of the region. While it may get a little cloudier, it’s not expected to spoil the fun, with comfortable temperatures remaining near 80 degrees during the day and refreshing overnight lows between the upper 50s to low 60s. Perfect weather to sleep in a bit!
So, as we gear up for this refreshing weather change, remember to step outside and enjoy the beautiful days ahead. Whether it’s a walk in the sunshine on Thursday or a cozy weekend evening, Shreveport is set to experience some delightful conditions that will surely lift our spirits!
Have a great evening, everyone, and stay tuned for the beautiful weather that’s just around the corner!
