Commercial Building Catches Fire Near Downtown Shreveport

Shreveport, La. – In the early hours of Saturday, August 3, a vacant commercial building erupted in flames on the 2100 block of Texas Avenue, prompting a swift response from local firefighters. The Shreveport Fire Department received multiple emergency calls shortly after midnight.

Firefighters Respond

At around 12:41 a.m., crews arrived on the scene to find heavy flames shooting from the side of the single-story structure. A total of 29 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, working diligently to control the situation.

No Injuries Reported

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the fire. Initial assessments confirmed that the building was vacant at the time of the incident, minimizing the potential for harm to individuals.
