In a shocking incident that stunned a peaceful Shreveport, Louisiana neighborhood, an unidentified man was found injured from gunfire while walking through the Highland area.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning of June 30. The man was reportedly taking a stroll in the vicinity of Creswell Avenue, near Kirby Place, when he was suddenly injured by gunfire. Authorities reported that the call came in at approximately 1:45 a.m., prompting the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) to respond promptly to the 0000 block of Creswell Avenue.
The wounded man reported hearing gunshots before realizing he was struck in the leg. He suffered injuries in his left thigh, although it was fortunate that the incident did not result in a fatal outcome. Following the incident, he was immediately transported to a local hospital to receive necessary medical interventions for his non-life-threatening condition.
At present, the Shreveport Police Department is in the process of investigating the incident. Currently, the shooter remains unidentified. Authorities are diligently working on identifying any suspects related to the incident and the circumstances surrounding it. Thought it is likely that the incident was isolated, residents of the Highland neighborhood have been left shaken.
