Chef DiGrazia is well-known for her culinary prowess through her restaurant, Niema’s Cookery Corner, and her successful food truck. Her experience also extends to prestigious competition, having participated in the Food Prize’s Golden Fork event. The Executive Director of the Robinson Film Center, Wendell Riley, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Chef DiGrazia will bring tremendous creativity and technique to her new role in the Bistro.”
With DiGrazia at the helm, the bistro aims to become more than just a stop for a meal or a movie; the goal is to transform it into a culinary destination within the Shreveport-Bossier area. The bistro plays a vital role in supporting the center’s economic health, as a portion of its proceeds goes towards various programming and education initiatives.
Joining DiGrazia is Matthew DiGrazia, the former Chef de Cuisine at Zuzul. The duo promises to enhance not only the bistro’s operations but also to oversee event catering for the Center’s event space. They are already hard at work planning a variety of film-themed culinary events set to debut in the fall.
In a statement reflecting her passion for food and community, DiGrazia said, “I am absolutely thrilled to join Robinson Film Center and Abby Singer’s Bistro. This incredible opportunity fills me with joy as I become part of such a vibrant and creative community. I can’t wait to bring fresh ideas to the menu, events, and dining experiences.”
As Shreveport looks forward to these changes, it seems that Abby Singer’s Bistro is poised to embrace a new era of culinary creativity that will resonate with the community.
