The holiday season is here, and there’s no better way to soak up that Christmas spirit than wandering through dazzling displays of twinkling lights! For families, friends, and entire communities, viewing Christmas lights has become a delightful tradition that spread cheer and warmth, turning chilly winter nights into magical memories.

Where to Find the Best Holiday Lights in Bossier City

This year, Bossier City has rolled out the red carpet—quite literally—with some of the most enchanting light displays around. Let’s take a tour of the top spots where you can bask in the glow of holiday lights!

Louisiana Boardwalk: A Winter Wonderland

First up, head over to the Louisiana Boardwalk. It’s been transformed into a stunning winter wonderland! Picture this: glittering white lights stretch as far as the eye can see, creating an enchanting backdrop as you eat, shop, and sip on warm drinks with loved ones. This sparkling display is open until December 31, 2024, offering plenty of time to see it!

But wait, there’s more! From November 29 to December 29, you can experience their special blizzard snow show. This delightful event happens every Friday through Sunday at noon and 6 PM, giving you the perfect excuse to gather your family and experience this festive wonder together.

Greenacres Place: A Neighborhood Tradition

Next on our journey is Greenacres Place, a premier neighborhood in North Bossier City known for its longstanding holiday light displays. Houses there are adorned with sparkling lights, festive props, and beautiful arches—a community truly decked out for Christmas!

Take it from Nicole Hardman, a proud resident who fondly remembers riding through Greenacres Place as a child. “It’s one of my favorite holiday memories with my family,” she shared. Now, she continues that cherished tradition with her kids, stopping off at Starbucks for hot chocolate before cruising through the neighborhood, soaking in the holiday lights and music. “The lights give me a tingly feeling; they warm my heart and make me smile,” says Hardman.

Kingston Plantation: Twinkling Treasures

Moving on, we arrive at Kingston Plantation Subdivision, another festive neighborhood bursting with holiday cheer! Homeowners here go all out, transforming their community into a spectacular light display complete with twinkling lights, colorful inflatables, and charming holiday themes.

Resident Lisa Wiggins Dilts expresses her appreciation for the lights, saying, “My family loves pointing out our favorite houses. It’s all about the creativity!” She reflects on the joy of watching people from all over Bossier come together to appreciate the warm, hometown feel of their community during the holidays. For Lisa, making memories with her family is what truly counts. “You don’t have to have a lot of stuff to be happy. It’s the time spent with loved ones that lasts,” she believes.

Candy Cane Lane: A Sweet Community Tradition

Don’t miss Candy Cane Lane! This whimsical street in Tiburon has its own festive charm, thanks to Gloria and Robert Deyoung. They started the sweet tradition of creating light arches, leading their neighbors to join in the fun. Today, Candy Cane Lane shines like a beacon with spectacular displays that even includes a snow machine for frosty fun!

“Every weekend, we have kids having snowball fights in our backyard, and we love seeing the joy on their faces,” Gloria added. With the beautiful arches and the enchanting sight of lights, Candy Cane Lane brings together the warmest of community vibes, ensuring smiles from both young and old alike. They light up every night through the end of December!
