On the evening of Sunday 31 March 2024, a man was critically injured suffering from a stab wound to his upper chest. The incident, which resulted from a family dispute, occured on Hearne Avenue at Essex Street at around 8:11 p.m, according to Caddo 911 dispatch.

Immediate Response by Shreveport Police

Shreveport police were promptly flagged to the scene shortly after the incident. On arrival, authorities found a man with a stab wound to his upper chest. Although the wound was severe, the police assured it was not life-threatening.

Dispute Between Family Members Turned Violent

The violent incident is said to have ensued from escalated arguments between two family members. The disagreement ultimately led to a physical altercation on the street, resulting in the stabbning.
