Shreveport Celebrates 50 Years of Les Boutiques de Noel Holiday Fundraiser!

Shreveport Gears Up for a Festive Holiday Fundraiser!

SHREVEPORT, La. — The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is in full swing, and this weekend, it’s all about Les Boutiques de Noel at the Shreveport Convention Center! Picture a winter wonderland where local merchants gather like Santa’s elves, offering delightful goodies that are sure to add some sparkle to your holiday shopping.

A Celebration of 50 Years!

That’s right, folks! This year marks the 50th anniversary of this beloved event. As you stroll through the convention center, you’ll find that it has been transformed into a festive marketplace filled with stunning decorations and irresistible items. Kathryn Smitherman, the President of the Shreveport Bossier Opera Guild, expressed her excitement, saying, “I’ve been involved with the Opera Guild for 10 years maybe and I just love Christmas!”

The preparations for Les Boutiques de Noel started about a year ago. That’s right, as soon as last year’s event wrapped up, the planning wheels began turning for this fantastic celebration. With over 100 merchants from all over the South, this year’s turnout is double what the guild has had in the past five years!

Merry and Meaningful Shopping!

But wait, there’s more to this event than just holiday shopping. The funds raised during Les Boutiques de Noel go toward supporting the Shreveport Opera and its various educational and outreach programs. “For Shreveport to have its own opera is an amazing thing that our community should be very proud of,” Smitherman proudly stated. So, as you browse through enchanting booths, you can feel good knowing you’re contributing to a worthy cause!

What Can You Expect?

From handcrafted items and unique gifts to gourmet treats and home décor, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift or just want to treat yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Attendees can expect a delightful array of goods that are sure to satisfy every taste!

And don’t worry about breaking the bank! Tickets to the event are just $10 if purchased in advance on their website, and only $15 at the door. It’s a small price to pay for a day filled with holiday cheer, shopping, and community spirit. You’ll also find a special QR code available that makes it super easy for ticket purchases.

Join the Festivities!

Les Boutiques de Noel kicks off on Friday and runs through Sunday, providing the perfect opportunity to embrace the holiday spirit with friends and family. So gather your loved ones, grab those shopping bags, and head on over to the Shreveport Convention Center for a magical experience. Let’s support our local merchants and enjoy some delightful holiday fun!

Final Thoughts

This festive event is not just about shopping. It’s about coming together as a community, celebrating the arts, and making memories that last a lifetime. So don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to spread joy and give back at the same time. We can’t wait to see you there!
