Sponsor Our ArticlesShreveport, LA – The horrors of crime have yet again reached the peaceful town of Shreveport, Louisiana yesterday, around 12:25 a.m. A man lies critical in a local hospital after being reportedly shot in his stomach at Jolie Apartments, situated in the 100 block of Quail Creek Road.
Upon receiving a distress call reporting shots fired in the area, the local police rushed to the scene. The officers discovered a man lying on the ground in the darkness. Seeming to be writhing in pain, it was soon confirmed that he had suffered a grievous gunshot wound to his abdomen.
The officers present on the crime scene immediately called for medical aid. The victim was rushed to the nearby hospital for emergency surgery with injuries that could prove to be life-threatening if not promptly attended to.
As is the procedure with such serious violent crime episodes, detectives from the Shreveport Police Department have been assigned to the case. Their investigation has already been initiated, with the crime scene being thoroughly combed for clues and eyewitnesses being interviewed for any possible leads.
No arrests have been made as of yet, making the situation gravely serious. The name or other identifying details of the victim haven’t been disclosed to the public, keeping in line with law enforcement policies for active investigations.
