In Shreveport, Louisiana, a man was shot late on September 6 after turning down a request for money. The police are currently investigating the unsettling event that took place around 10:42 p.m. in the Allendale neighborhood.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was walking down the 1800 block of Milam Street when he was approached by an unknown man. The suspect asked the victim for money, but when the victim replied that he had none, the situation escalated rapidly.
According to reports, the suspect pulled out a black gun and shot the victim once in the left calf before fleeing the scene on foot. Following the incident, the victim managed to get to a local hospital through private transportation.
Despite the seriousness of the injury, the victim is receiving medical care, and there is currently no further information on his condition. The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is actively investigating the incident, but so far, no crime scene has been located.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward. The SPD is working diligently to track down the suspect responsible for this violent act in hopes of bringing them to justice.
