Bricks of Honor ceremony pays tribute to heroes on Memorial Day

SHREVEPORT, La. – American Legion Post 14 hosted a special Memorial Day ceremony on Monday to honor and pay tribute to our nation’s heroes.
American Legion Post 14 organized the Bricks of Honor Ceremony, a heartfelt event dedicated to recognizing the selfless sacrifices made by those who served in the military. The ceremony took place at Cross Lake located at 5315 S. Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport.
The Bricks of Honor dedication ceremony provided an opportunity for the community to come together and remember the brave individuals who have served and protected the country. It was a solemn and respectful occasion that allowed attendees to reflect on the significance of Memorial Day and express gratitude for the servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Fleet Reserve Pays Tribute
During the ceremony, members of the Fleet Reserve participated in a touching wreath toss, symbolizing their respect and remembrance for fallen comrades. The wreath toss was a poignant moment that highlighted the bond shared by military personnel and their commitment to honoring the memory of those who have passed.
Community Support and Commemoration
Following the solemn proceedings, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a meal together as hamburger and hot dog plates were available for sale. This provided a chance for community members to come together, connect, and show their support for the veterans and active-duty military personnel who continue to serve the country with dedication and valor.
