Shreveport Kicks Off 40th Annual Operation Santa Claus Toy Drive!

It’s that festive time of year again in Shreveport, Louisiana! The holiday season is officially in full swing as the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) and Townsquare Media have launched the much-loved, 40th annual Operation Santa Claus toy drive. Kicking off on Monday, December 2, this joyful initiative aims to spread cheer by bringing brand-new toys to underprivileged children just in time for Christmas!

A Joyful Arrival with Santa

The toy drive started off with quite the fanfare! Imagine this—Santa Claus himself rolled into town on the back of an SFD fire engine! The arrival was marked by the delighted squeals of excited kiddos gathered to catch a glimpse of the jolly man in red. It was a magical moment as each child had the chance to meet Santa, share their holiday wishes, and receive a special holiday gift directly from him before he zoomed back to the North Pole. Talk about an unforgettable experience!

It’s All About the Giving!

The goal of Operation Santa Claus is straightforward but powerful: “bring smiles to underprivileged children by providing brand-new toys.” And you can be a part of this wonderful mission! The toy drive will continue through December 16, with scheduled toy deliveries slated for December 18, 19, and 20. The local heroes, SFD and the Shreveport Police Department, will help ensure that these gifts reach the children, helping to create a brighter holiday for those in need.

How to Get Involved

new toys or even make monetary contributions. Every little bit helps! Donations can be dropped off at Townsquare Media, located at 6341 Westport Ave., or at any Bonvenu Bank branch in both Shreveport and Bossier City. If you’re writing a check, just make sure to address it to Operation Santa Claus.

Join the Spirit of Giving

Let’s make this holiday season extra special for the children in our community! Your generous donations can truly make a difference, transforming a child’s Christmas from ordinary to extraordinary. Remember, the toy drive runs until December 16, so there’s still time to show your support for this heartwarming cause. Mark your calendars and be a part of making this season a brighter one for kiddos that need it the most.

Spread the Word!

Last but not least, let’s get the word out! Share the news with your friends, neighbors, and family members about the Operation Santa Claus toy drive. The more people who know, the more toys we can collect and distribute. This festive season is all about giving, and together, we can make Shreveport shine even brighter!

For more information on the toy drive, please reach out to the participating organizations or visit the donation drop-off locations. Happy Holidays, Shreveport! Let’s spread that holiday magic and make a child’s wish come true!
