Excitement Builds for Prize Fest 2024 in Shreveport

Shreveport, Louisiana is gearing up for an amazing week as Prize Fest kicks off on October 16. This vibrant festival promises to fill the downtown area with a whirlwind of activities centered around food, comedy, film, and music.

Running for five action-packed days, Prize Fest is anticipated to draw attendees from all around the nation. Daily Events

Food Prize – October 16

The festival will kick off with Food Prize on October 16, featuring the much-loved event Come and Get It. This culinary showcase will bring together six local chef teams paired with celebrity chefs, allowing attendees to sample a variety of tasty creations. Additionally, there will be the exciting Golden Shaker cocktail competition, where local mixologists battle it out for the title of the best cocktail.

Comedy Prize – October 17

Mark your calendars for Comedy Prize on October 17, where the laughter will be plentiful! The event has doubled the number of comedians this year, featuring two shows with five performers each. Comedians will compete for a cash prize and exposure in front of a national panel of esteemed judges.

Film Prize – October 17-19

The award-winning Film Prize will commence on October 17, showcasing 20 short films — all filmed in Louisiana. These films will compete for a staggering cash prize of up to $50,000, truly making it the largest cash prize for short films in the world. One highlight includes the public event called The Gathering on October 17, which will feature a red carpet, interviews, and opportunities for networking.

Music Prize – October 18-19

Concluding the week, the Music Prize will take place over two nights, beginning October 18. The event will showcase 11 musical finalists competing for a grand prize of $10,000. In addition, attendees can participate in MPCon, a music conference with panels and workshops led by industry professionals to help musicians enhance their careers.
