Sponsor Our ArticlesShreveport, it’s that time of year again! The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier (JLSB) is over the moon to announce the return of one of our favorite fall traditions: the Pumpkin Patch at Provenance. Running from Tuesday, October 1st through Thursday, October 31st, 2024, this wonderful event promises to be a delightful escape for families looking to soak up the autumn spirit while supporting a fantastic cause. Just a quick heads up: the Pumpkin Patch is closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly!
Located at the Windrush Lake Overlook in the Provenance neighborhood, the address is 1968 Bridgewater Avenue. This picturesque setting is perfect for a day of fun and festivities!
The Pumpkin Patch is not just about picking out pumpkins; it’s a full-fledged celebration! There will be some fantastic family-friendly activities, including fun games and photo opportunities that’ll help you capture those perfect fall memories. Local food trucks will be on hand to satisfy your cravings, ensuring that you won’t go hungry while you’re out there enjoying the day!
And yes, there will be pumpkins! Visitors can explore a diverse array of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes to find the perfect one to take home. Whether you’re looking for a petite pie pumpkin or a towering jack-o’-lantern, you’re sure to find it here!
Every dollar spent at the Pumpkin Patch helps to support the service initiatives of the Junior League. This important organization has been impacting our community for over 90 years, championing women’s leadership and promoting worthwhile projects. Funds raised at the Pumpkin Patch go towards programs like MAGIC (Mentoring Ambitious Girls to Inspire Change), Revel’s Artist for a Day, and the Red Apron Pantry.
Just a reminder: on Saturday, October 26th, the patch will close early at 2:00 pm, so don’t miss out!
Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is absolutely free, so bring the whole family! You can purchase pumpkins at various price points to fit any budget. Plus, there’s a chance to win some gorgeous jewelry through a fun raffle. It’s an excellent way to contribute and possibly walk away with a lovely prize!
The Junior League continuously believes in empowering communities through partnerships, with support from amazing organizations like Sid Potts, Inc. and CHRISTUS Health. If you’re interested in exploring sponsorship opportunities, feel free to reach out to the Pumpkin Patch Committee for more information.
