Shreveport Welcomes Back the Red River Revel Festival!

Shreveport, Louisiana, is buzzing with excitement as another beloved tradition has returned to the city this week—the Red River Revel! This vibrant festival, which kicked off on Saturday, September 28, is packed with music, art, food, and so much more, making it a fantastic event for everyone in the family. Can you feel the energy? A Celebratory 48th Year

This year marks the 48th anniversary of the Red River Revel, and according to festival leaders, they are already set for the next half-century! Executive director Logan Lewis shared his enthusiasm, stating, “This has been one of the best weekends that we’ve had in quite some time. People really came out to see Jefferson Starship and the Lost Bayou Ramblers, see all the great art that we have here.” It’s really heartwarming to see the community come together to celebrate such an event.

What makes an event even better? Beautiful weather! People have been enjoying the warmth of the sun and the friendly atmosphere that the Revel brings. Lewis added, “It seems like the community is just really glad to be here.” And who wouldn’t be?
