Ruby Williams Located Safe in Bossier City After Silver Alert Cancellation

Bossier City, Louisiana – Ruby Williams Found Safe!

Good news, Bossier City! The Silver Alert for 68-year-old Ruby Williams has been officially cancelled after she was located safe and sound. This update comes directly from the Louisiana State Police, bringing relief to many who were deeply concerned.

What Happened?

Ruby Williams was reported missing after she was last seen early Monday morning at 3985 Airline Drive in Bossier City. The local authorities acted quickly, issuing a Silver Alert that evening around 7:24 PM. Given that Ruby suffers from a medical condition affecting her judgment, the urgency to locate her was critical. She has a history of getting lost, which made her situation all the more troubling.

A Description for Awareness

For those who might have been on the lookout, Ruby is described as a black female with gray hair and brown eyes. At the time she went missing, she may have been wearing a brown wig. Standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds, she was spotted wearing a black shirt, a stylish sleeveless leopard-print jacket layered over a black jacket with green and red stripes near her wrists, along with black pants and white shoes. It’s believed she was traveling on foot in an unknown direction.

Community Support Shines Bright

The quick response from local law enforcement, coupled with community vigilance, played a huge role in ensuring Ruby’s safe return. Individuals who might have seen Ruby or had any information were encouraged to reach out to the Bossier City Police Department at (318) 741-8977 or to call 911 immediately. The solidarity within Bossier City was evident, as residents pulled together in hopes of bringing Ruby back home.

There’s something inherently heartwarming about the sense of community that emerges during such stressful situations. People checking on their neighbors, sharing posts on social media, and showing concern for a member of their community can make a world of difference.

Weather Update – Enjoy the Sunshine!

72°F with gentle winds coming from the north-northwest at 5 to 10 mph. What a glorious day to be outside! Just keep in mind that the temperature will dip down to a cooler 42°F tonight, so if you’re planning to be out later, a light jacket might be a good idea.

Keep an Eye on Local Happenings

While Ruby’s safe return is a plus, there’s much more happening around Bossier City and Shreveport. For instance, the ongoing Interstate 20 Major Rehabilitation Project means we’ll see some nightly lane closures – so plan accordingly if you’re hitting the road. And if you’re a fan of community activities, don’t miss out on the new Virtual Health Resource Center openings at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport!

Keep shining, Bossier City! Together we can celebrate the little victories and support one another during challenging times.
