As Poindexter began to receive packages containing various electronics and clothing for re-shipping, he soon realized something was amiss. He noted, “After making some calls, I found that all the numbers led back to the same source. The address linked to my job was not associated with any legitimate business.” Suspicion grew as he discovered counterfeit documents bearing the Louisiana state seal.

This particular scam has been ongoing since at least **2022** and has affected **42 victims** across multiple states.
