Three Major Signing Ceremonies Light Up the Area

In Shreveport, Woodlawn Leadership Academy hosted a vibrant signing ceremony where families, friends, and coaches gathered to celebrate these promising athletes. A Focus on Football, But Not Just Football!

The spotlight was primarily on football, where athletes signed with colleges mostly at the Division II and Division III levels. Among them was Devon “DD” Oliver, a standout defensive lineman who made the impressive choice to sign with the prestigious Yale University. Oliver, with an enviable 4.0 GPA, turned down offers from a whopping 15 other schools, including notable programs like Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Houston. Other football signees included Ben Taylor and Ben Jump, both heading to Northwestern, and Jarvis Davis Jr., who will play for Alabama A&M. We can’t forget Zane Maxwell, off to Grinnell College, and Josh Allen, who is set to join Mount St. Joseph’s.
