Shreveport Celebrates Outstanding Football Talent with Weekly Honors

Hey Shreveport! Football fever is in full swing as we wrap up another action-packed week on the gridiron. With the tension of the game days still fresh in our minds, it’s time to give a shout-out to some of our local superstar athletes. And, guess what? It’s time to cast your votes for the Shreveport Times Football Player of the Week!

Ballots Are Closed Until Thursday Evening

This week marks the 10th edition of the Player of the Week competition for the 2024 season, and we’ve got an impressive lineup of 19 young athletes vying for your vote. If you want to support your favorite player, head over to shreveporttimes.com before Thursday evening to make your voice heard! Your vote could make a difference!

What’s at Stake?

The athlete with the most votes will be awarded a fabulous backpack and a meal card to one of the local hotspots, courtesy of our generous sponsors, including Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, and Cosse and Silmon Orthodontics. The much-anticipated winner will be announced on Friday, so mark your calendars!
