Shreveport, Louisiana – A momentous day unfolded as hundreds of students across local universities celebrated their academic achievements. On December 20, 2024, a record-breaking 1,558 students graduated from LSU Shreveport in a ceremony held at the Brookshire Grocery Arena. The event marked a significant milestone for the university and the local community.
The commencement ceremony began with a warm welcome from university officials before Louisiana’s Commissioner of Higher Education delivered the keynote address. Meanwhile, Grambling State University also hosted a commencement ceremony on the same day, taking place inside the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.
