Shreveport Shooting Leaves A Woodlawn High School Senior Dead

The streets of Shreveport, Louisiana were marred by violence on May 1, 2024 when a 17-year-old high school senior was reported shot and subsequently died. The victim has been identified as Artavious Prim, a senior at Woodlawn High School.
The Incident Unveiled
According to local sources, a distress call indicated a shooting incident in the 800 block of W 70th Street. Responding officers arrived to a chaotic scene, only to learn that the wounded teenager had been taken to a local hospital in a private car. However, upon arrival at the hospital, the teen was pronounced dead, sending shockwaves through the community.
From the preliminary investigation, it appears that Artavious was outside a local convenience store when the deadly shooting took place. But the exact motive behind the shooting and other incident specifics are still unclear.
Police Arrest One, Search Continues for Two More
The aftermath of the incident has seen 20-year-old Bryson Turner arrested on charges of obstruction of justice. Turner is believed to be the individual who drove the victim to the hospital. Despite being a person of significant interest in the investigation, Turner allegedly has not been cooperative with the police.
Following further investigation, the police are seeking Marcus Brown, 28, and DeAndre Daniel, 28, both wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting. Their whereabouts remain unknown, and the police have sought the public’s assistance in locating the two persons of interest.
