On January 22, Billy Jamison, a 67-year-old delivery driver for a pharmaceutical company, was tragically shot to death in the parking lot of a Walgreens situated on Line Avenue. The time was around 10:20 a.m., and it seems this was all part of an apparent robbery attempt. The loss of Jamison, described by friends and family as a peaceful and gentle soul, has raised concerns about safety in the neighborhood.
In the wake of this shocking crime, the Shreveport Police Department has identified a potential suspect, Larry Lewis. Lewis is wanted for his suspected involvement in this dire situation and is considered to be armed and dangerous. His name was announced publicly in a social media post by the police on Thursday evening, just days after the homicide occurred.
To complicate matters, Lewis already has an active warrant for arrest related to an unrelated incident, which has heightened the urgency surrounding the investigation.
