Shreveport Fire Department Battled Blazing House Fire

In the heart of Shreveport, Louisiana, a dramatic scene unfolded on the afternoon of September 20 as firefighters rushed to the scene of a house fire. The clock had just struck 2:27 p.m. when reports of flames and heavy smoke emerged from a multi-family dwelling located in the 400 block of Egan Street. Without skipping a beat, the Shreveport Fire Department sprang into action.

Quick Response from Local Firefighters

Within just three minutes of receiving the call, Engine 7 was the first unit on the scene. They arrived at 2:30 p.m. and immediately assessed the situation. Firefighters reported seeing smoke and flames creeping out from the front and side of the building. The urgency of the situation was palpable as the need for immediate intervention became clear.

Heroic Rescue Efforts

As the firefighters got to work, their main priority was the safety of everyone inside. They managed to rescue two individuals trapped within the building, showcasing their commitment and skill under pressure. Meanwhile, another resident from one of the neighboring units was fortunate enough to escape on their own.
