Growing up in a nurturing home to parents Harry B. White and Frances H. White, Jo Anne was a proud graduate of Bossier High School. She pursued her passion for numbers by attending business school, eventually becoming a skilled bookkeeper. In 1952, Jo Anne married Robert L. Womack, embarking on a journey filled with love and family.

Tragically, her life took an unexpected turn when Robert was killed in action during the Vietnam War on October 11, 1965. From that moment on, Jo Anne proved to be an incredible force as she single-handedly raised their three children, instilling in them the same values that were the foundation of her life.
