The incident unfolded in the early hours of Friday, May 3, when police attempted to pull over 25-year-old Xavier Johnson. The routine traffic stop escalated when Johnson sped away, triggering a chase that concluded in an unexpected turn of events.

Local officers described the chase involving Johnson as “brief, but intense”, highlighting the unexpected turn of events after Johnson leapt from his moving vehicle. This action resulted in his car continuing without a driver and crashing into a nearby fence.
