Valentine’s Day Delight at Wayne Curtis Objets D’Art Fundraiser

If you’re on the lookout for a special way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the twenty-seventh annual Wayne Curtis Objets D’Art Fundraiser is an event you definitely won’t want to skip! Happening at 6 p.m. on February 14 at the trendy Supper Club, this intimate evening is designed for those who admire fine art and good company. Not only will you get to enjoy a finely catered menu and a fully stocked bar, but your ticket also includes admission for two and a selection of delightful art pieces to take home.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting the first week of January, so be sure to grab yours early!

Wine Lovers Unite at CORK 19!

April 5 is another day you’ll want to remember! Come along to CORK 19, running from 2 to 5 p.m. also at Festival Plaza. This marvelous event has been delighting wine lovers since 2005 and has grown to attract over 1,350 attendees each year. Guests can sip on over 90 quality wine varieties, including reds, whites, sparkling, sweets, and rosés, all from a meticulously curated list.

And what’s a good glass of wine without some tasty bites? Local restaurants will be catering with scrumptious bite-sized portions to pair perfectly with your drink. Plus, enjoy live music, win raffle items, and check out the Thrifty Liquor pop-up store to take home your favorite wines from the day! Shreveport Farmers’ Market: Fresh and Local!

As summer rolls around, the award-winning Shreveport Farmers’ Market will be back for its 39th consecutive season. Starting on May 31 through August 23, you can shop every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with over 75 vendors showing off the best homegrown and homemade goods. Expect an array of fresh fruits, veggies, herbs, and so much more!

And it doesn’t stop there! You’ll also find local artisans showcasing their unique crafts, from art and jewelry to soaps and even dog treats. Plus, if you’re feeling hungry, flavorful breakfast and lunch options will be available for purchase right at the market. Did we mention it’s free to attend? For those with a Louisiana Purchase (SNAP) card, you can shop with your benefits, as the market is USDA-approved!

Get Ready for the Arts Festival!

The celebration of arts is set for a new format this year, expanding to two festive weekends. The first weekend kicks off on Thursday, September 25, running daily through Sunday, September 28, then closes for a brief pause before reopening on Thursday, October 2. This year, the festival promises even more art, music, food, and family-friendly fun that’s certain to be entertaining for all who attend!

As Logan Lewis, the executive director, said, “It is with great pride that we begin to plan another chapter in the great history of the Red River Revel.” With approximately 60,000 visitors flocking to Shreveport for the annual arts festival, the city’s vibrant culture continues to shine brightly.
