Another Shreveport Restaurant Closes its Doors Permanently

Another Local Casualty in the Food Industry

The vibrant and diverse culinary landscape of Shreveport has recently seen another locally-owned restaurant shut its doors permanently. This is the second such closure within the past week, signaling the challenges some businesses in the region continue to face.

Sudden Closure Announcement of Daq’s Wings & Grill

On June 18, popular eatery Daq’s Wings & Grill, located on Youree Drive, made an unexpected announcement through its Facebook page. The post stated, “we will unfortunately be permanently closing @daqsonyouree today“. This comes barely a year after they had opened their doors at this location, replacing the previous tenant, a Burger King outlet.

Previous Closure of another Daq’s Outlet

Prior to this, Daq’s had closed down its other outlet at 6197 Greenwood Road earlier this year. The closure was revealed through a simple paper note posted on the restaurant’s door, which curtly informed, “We are permanently closing this location“.

Final Outpost: Daq’s on the Southern Loop

With these recent closures, the only remaining Daq’s outlet now is at 1935 Southern Loop. In their closure post for the Youree Drive outlet, they extended their heartfelt thanks to all their customers, friends, and family, stating, “thank you to all our amazing guests, friends, and family for your continued support. Please come see us @daqsontheloop soon!

Impact on Local Dining Scene

The closure of Daq’s on Youree Drive is indicative of the challenging times locally-owned food establishments in Shreveport are facing. It calls for renewed support from the local community to ensure the survival of other small culinary ventures that add to the distinct community flavor and character of the city.

Looking forward to Continuing Culinary Tradition

Despite the latest setback, the > restaurant’s management and staff remain optimistic about welcoming their loyal patrons at the Southern Loop outlet, hoping to continue their culinary traditions, providing Shreveport with their delicious fare and warm hospitality as they have done in the past.
