Shreveport Police on the Hunt for Sex Offenders Who Didn’t Register

In a serious turn of events, Shreveport, Louisiana has found itself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The Shreveport Police Department has recently issued arrest warrants for several individuals who have not met their legal obligations regarding sex offender registration. It’s a message loud and clear for the community—keeping our neighborhoods safe is a top priority, and the police need your help.

Who’s Wanted?

Among those being sought is Robert Huen, a man with a troubling history. Convicted of simple rape in Houma and sentenced to a hefty 15 years, Huen isn’t just any offender; he’s classified as a Tier 3 sex offender. This classification means he is required to register annually for life to ensure the population stays informed about his whereabouts. But now, he’s facing his third offense for failing to register. Talk about serious stuff!

Next up is Emmanuel Dunn. He was found guilty of possessing child pornography and sentenced by the First Judicial District Court in Caddo Parish back in 2017. Dunn is classified as a Tier 2 sex offender and is bound to register every year until December 2044. He’s also gone off the radar, joining the list of wanted individuals.

We also can’t forget about Shontravious Rogers. This individual was sentenced in 2015 for sexual battery and is tagged as a Tier 1 sex offender. Rogers has a registration deadline that extends until July 2034, but he, too, has failed to comply with the rules. His non-compliance comes as a surprise, given the serious nature of his past offenses.

Lastly, Christopher White, another individual wanted by authorities, has a conviction for indecent behavior with juveniles. He was sentenced by the 26th Judicial District Court in Bossier Parish and is expected to register until 2027. Unfortunately for the community, White has also fallen short of his legal responsibilities.

What Can You Do?

If you happen to have any information regarding the whereabouts of these individuals, the Shreveport Police Department urges you to speak up. You can reach them at (318) 673-7300 or contact Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373. Your tip could make a significant difference in ensuring that the community stays safe.

Stay Informed!

Are you aware that you can easily search for sex offenders residing in your area? By visiting the Offender Search feature on the sheriff’s office website, you can stay informed about who is living nearby. This tool empowers you to protect your family and keep your neighborhood secure.

Wrapping Up

Keeping track of sex offenders may not be the most thrilling topic, but it’s incredibly crucial for the safety of our community. The Shreveport Police Department is doing its part in making sure justice is served and that those who fail to follow the law are held accountable. So let’s all rally together and keep our city safe!

For ongoing updates on local issues and important community news, stay tuned! Always remember, being proactive is the key to building a safer environment for everyone. After all, we all deserve to feel secure in our homes and neighborhoods.
