The city of Shreveport remains tense as local authorities continue their search for a man implicated in a deadly shooting incident that shocked the community. An arrest warrant has been issued for 34-year-old Shontravious Rogers, who is now the focus of a police manhunt.
The shooting occurred on June 4 at approximately 5 p.m. in the 3500 block of Milam Street. Police received reports of gunfire and arrived at the scene to find a 24-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The victim was identified as Travion Marshall by the coroner’s office.
Following an extensive investigation, evidence led authorities to identify Rogers as the suspect. He is facing serious charges, including second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and failure to report a felony. Because of these allegations, police warn that Rogers should be considered armed and dangerous.
Residents are advised not to approach Rogers if they see him. Instead, any sightings or information on his whereabouts should be reported to the police immediately by calling 318-673-7300. Authorities are urging the community to stay vigilant as they work to bring Rogers to justice.
