Sponsor Our ArticlesHello, Shreveport! If you’ve stepped outside lately, you’ve probably noticed that we’re in for a bit of a dry spell. That’s right – this work week is shaping up to be mostly sunny with low humidity, perfect for those who enjoy the warmth without the stickiness of summer heat.
Temperatures are heating up and are expected to stay in the lower 90s for today and tomorrow. So, don’t forget your sunscreen if you’re planning to spend some time outdoors! Whether you’re lounging in your backyard or taking a walk at the park, the forecast looks good for all your outdoor activities.
Now, if you’re like many of us who love a cooler breeze, there’s some exciting news: a cold front is making its way down from the northwest by Wednesday. While this front won’t bring any rain with it, it will lower our highs into the mid and upper 80s by Wednesday afternoon. That’s a nice little break from the heat we’ve been feeling!
After the cold front passes, we can expect the highs to remain in the upper 80s and lower 90s for the rest of the week. But here’s the cherry on top: another cooldown might swoop in by the weekend! That means we could be spending some of our weekend enjoying temperatures in the lower 80s – a lovely treat as we approach fall.
It’s worth noting that while we’re gearing up for cooler temps, it seems like rain isn’t in our cards just yet. The high pressure system that’s keeping us dry is here for a while, so we may have to wait a little longer for that refreshing rain-soaked break. Fingers crossed that changes soon!
This morning, we saw the formation of Tropical Storm Kirk, which is being accompanied by another storm system that has a high likelihood of developing into a tropical storm as well. So, while we’re basking in the sunshine here in Shreveport, things are heating up in the tropics. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that any systems that do form steer clear of us for now!
Even though a dry stretch is currently on the horizon, let’s keep our hopes up for some beneficial rain as we move into October. After all, with the cooler temps and perhaps the transformation of some of those storm systems, we could see a shift soon!
In conclusion, enjoy the beautiful weather we’ve got this week, but don’t forget to look ahead! Whether you’re planning outdoor activities or simply wishing for some rain to help the environment, there’s always something to keep you engaged in the forecast.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to track the weather in our beloved Shreveport!
