Sunny and Warm Days Ahead for Shreveport!

Have you noticed the lovely weather we’ve been having here in Shreveport? With plentiful sunshine and almost summer-like temperatures, it seems like perfect outdoor weather for any activity you can think of. Today, we’re expecting temperatures to soar to a near record high of 87°F! That’s right; grab your shorts and sunglasses because it’s going to be a hot one. The winds will be coming from the southeast at a gentle 5 to 10 mph, making it a great day to enjoy some fresh air without feeling too breezy.

What About Tonight?

If you’re wondering how things will cool down this evening, you can look forward to clear skies and areas of patchy fog developing later on. Expect temperatures to dip to a cozy 55°F. So, if you’re planning a night out, maybe bring a light jacket just in case it gets a bit chilly after sunset!

Big Changes Coming to Shreveport Regional Airport

Shreveport Regional Airport. The airport is set to receive a whopping $7 million from the FAA, thanks to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act! This funding is aimed at improving our airport facilities, particularly with the relocation of an air traffic control tower. This move is important as it will address some line-of-sight issues that have been a concern.

In addition to the tower relocation, this funding will also help in constructing a new access road along with preparing the tower itself for the move. It’s not just about making our airport safer; it’s also about enhancing our travel experience. The Federal Aviation Administration is generously granting Louisiana airports a total of $20.3 million under the Airport Terminal Program. How’s that for some good news?
